Practice Space Set-Up:
Plan to have enough space for a standard yoga mat to practice in
- Mats are usually about 7 feet by 2 feet, plus some extra space on either side/end for arms and legs to move, reach and stretch
- If you can, clear about 30 inches of wall space for wall work and poses such as, Legs up the Wall. If you don't have a lot of wall space, or resting with your legs extended upward gets uncomfortable for you, the alternative to legs up the wall is, my favorite, Legs on the Couch/Chair.
