I reached out to Natalie for some guidance and consulting during a particularly difficult situation I was facing with a student, precisely within Natalie's area of expertise: Trauma informed protocol. I've known Natalie for quite a few years now; she was a faculty member for a psychologically sensitive 200-hr YTT in Chicago where I completed my training. In training, you only get but so much time one on one with faculty. This is what's great about booking consultations or longer term mentorship. I knew that Natalie was someone who had absolutely been in my shoes, knew exactly how this felt to navigate the very tender negotiation of not harming practitioner or student. Before this session, I was honestly at a point where, in my worst moments, I despondently considered packing up shop and calling it a day. That I just wasn't right for the work I set out to do. But Natalie helped me see, with enormous compassion and grace, that we do the best we can and why sometimes even the "right call" can still be so hard to hold. And most importantly, that this is ok to feel. I'm still working through it, but with Natalie's help, I think I'll get the clarity and confidence to get back out there and try again. She really sees the best in everyone, even when they can't see it for themselves. ~Suzette Hammond, mentorship sessions
I want to let you know that this work that you are doing is so important right now and important to me! You bring such enthusiasm to this work and I find myself feeling happy and euphoric during practice. Grateful and peaceful. I find myself saying “I’m so blessed to be practicing restorative yoga right now.” It’s interesting how these feelings and sensations in the body have evolved over time with the practice — I am learning and realizing so many benefits. Even over Zoom! Thank you so much! ~ Sarah, zoom yoga student
I lucked into meeting Natalie as one of the best massage therapists I have had, and quickly inquired about yoga.  I am a devout student of pilates, but felt I could really benefit from yoga.  I was nervous about yoga because I previously injured myself in a yoga class. Now, I have the delicious experience of working with Natalie one-on-one each week, and it’s a piece of decadence that I look forward to every week.  Natalie is incredibly intuitive and her emotional intelligence is so high.  She communicates the poses along with their benefits in a way that allows you to gradually get stronger and stronger, both mentally and physically, all while getting to reap the benefits of yoga in this way that sneaks up in you for you to notice in your daily life.  Natalie is incredibly patient, can dial up a yoga session and dial it down to somehow perfectly meet exactly what you need even if you don’t think you need it!  And that is quite a gift.  I’m beyond grateful for Natalie who has enhanced my body, mind and spirit with her incredible skills.

A dear friend encouraged me to look at the Somatic Massage Bodywork at Sole & Luna. I read the description and didn't hesitate for a moment to make an appointment. Natalie is gifted - her intuition and comforting energy made my experience one that I will be booking again.

Natalie has an incredible ability to intuit the needs of her students, which make each class, regardless of size, feel like it was prepared just for you. Her classes are so well paced and begin with a thoughtful and timely meditation. And Natalie’s calming energy and angelic voice just make the practice that much sweeter. Since working with Natalie I've become much more engaged with my yoga practice and I credit this to her example and quiet encouragement.

Friendly and Knowledgable - my favorite yoga teacher in Chicago. Or anywhere for that matter. Natalie creates a welcoming sanctuary of an environment whether it's a class at Tula, Moksha or as a massage therapist. As a student in Natalie's class, I feel like she is aware of how I'm doing in the class, when I need adjustments, encouragement, etc. Her guidance during the class is calm, peaceful and helpful, and I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. Although I've done yoga for years, I consider myself at a beginner's level, and Natalie ensures that I'm striving to improve while also honoring the space that I'm in, that day.

So talented & approachable, most comfortable classes I've taken. Natalie is such a gift! No matter the size of the class, you feel like you have personal attention and she adapts for multiple skill levels, which is great for someone like me coming back after home-yogaing for a few years. She knows how to pull a quote from an nontraditional source and have it apply so perfectly to yoga practice/self-improvement. She also brings an unexpected humor to class that lightens things up when those hammies are burning. Cannot recommend Natalie enough!

Natalie is one of a kind. She combines movement, breath and spirituality into every class. Beyond asana, cultivating self-love and gratitude are her specialties. She is able to guide me to a very happy place within myself. I highly recommend her group classes / private sessions.
